Auld Lang Syne – Bring It On 2012!

If I had a dollar for every time I say how fast time is zipping by I’d be rich!   I love new beginnings, each day, each month and especially each year.  New Years Eve and Day eating lucky yankee meal including pork, mash potatoes, lima beans and sour kraut and are my very favorite holiday!    Legend has it that for every string of sour kraut you eat is GOOD LUCK all year long!   Besides, it’s a great diuretic from over indulging the night before.

This year I am not making “resolutions”.  Instead I want to focus on having an Optimistic Outlook in every area of my life.   This way I will hopefully create the results that the old resolutions never seem to achieve.   Here are some great excerpts from “The Path to Success is Paved with Positive Thinking” by Blue Mountain Arts, Inc.

  • Stop being your own worst enemy. Be your very best friend.
  • Don’t put yourself down.  Pull yourself up.
  • Don’t permit others to define who you are. You cannot be a failure without your own consent
  • Respect yourself.  Place high value on yourself.
  • Take stock of who you are and what you are capable of. Work on weaknesses and find new strengths every day.
  • Replace “I can’t” with “I CAN” and “I WILL”
  • Treat yourself generously, the way you want others to treat you.
  • Be Compassionate. Love yourself and others will love you
  • Remember that you are an individual expression of God.  As a work of God’s art, you are priceless and irreplaceable.
  • Visualize what you want from life, then work towards it.  See it. Then BE IT.
  • Allow time to be by yourself. Take time to appreciate yourself.
  • Enjoy your uniqueness.  Out of all the billions of people since the beginning of time, there has never been, and never will be another you.
  • Realize that you are important to the entire world; what happens to the world begins with you.

I love looking in hindsight and seeing how God has made a fool of all the fear and worry I waste energy on.  If you would have asked me what, where, how and why this year has developed and ended up the way it has I would have never believed you in a heartbeat.    I am surprisingly successful at being self-employed and am on the fast track to creating my own company to flourish in 2012.

I am so very humbled and grateful to be surrounded by amazing family, friends and extremely successful and patient mentors who have taken me under their wings and raised my level of play to the top shelf level of living personally and professionally.   I believe anything is possible when I am in action from an authentic purposeful place in my heart and mission that ultimately serves others.   I have let go of my past failures, anger, resentments and see them now as an attitude direction adjustment that put me back on the right path.   I am powerful and confident than ever before.  I have my inner voice back and am not afraid to stand for what I believe in.    Most of all I love encouraging others towards experiencing the upsides to any circumstance life throws at us in order to accomplish their dreams.  I will find true love that will last a lifetime now that I am finally able to love myself for who I am inside and out without exceptions.  2012 already is the happiest year of my life!   Make this the best new year ever my friends! Woohooo!

Auld Lang Syne

by Robert Burns
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And auld lang syne?

Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne!

We twa hae run about the braes,
And pu’d the gowans fine,
But we’ve wander’d mony a weary fit
Sin auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl’t in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
Sin auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere,
And gie’s a hand o’ thine,
And we’ll tak a right guid willie-waught
For auld lang syne!

And surely ye’ll be your pint’ stowp,
And surely I’ll be mine,
And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne!
